Let's Party !

A couple of weeks ago we organised our Menswear Presentation Party at the Etrala Studio, and wanted to do something different, original, vintage-inspired and also something masculine... 

So that we prepared "moustache-cupcakes", "vintage pop corn", chips, Mini Burgers and Mini Hot dogs... And verything was... DIY!! 

We designed the artworks and moustaches, printed and cut them out... then, we glued them to the wooden sticks and voilà! We also made the paper cones for the chips from greaseproof paper and the stand from a card box :-)

Hace un par de semanas organizamos la Fiesta de Presentación de "Etrala Man" en nuestro estudio de Londres, y quisimos hacer algo original, diferente, de inspiración retro y que también fuera masculino... 

Así que hicimos "moustache-cupcakes", palomitas vintage, patatas fritas, mini hamburguesas y mini perritos calientes!! Y todo lo hicimos nosotros mismos... Do It Yourself!! 

Diseñamos los letreritos y bigotes, los imprimimos y recortamos, y después los pegamos a los palitos de madera... y listo! También hicimos los cartuchos de patatas fritas de papel vegetal de horno, y la base de una caja de cartón :-)

Our good friend and flower artist Cristina, from Ponle Flores, was in charge of the party's flower decor, and she surprised us with this original flower arrangement inside a vintage tin box... we love it!! As she quoted: "It's vintage as the party and pink-coloured as Etrala"... She was completely right!

De la decoración floral se encargó nuestra buena amiga Cristina de Ponle Flores, y nos sorprendió con esta idea tan original de centro de flores dentro de una cajita de lata vintage... ¡nos encanta! Según sus propias palabras: "vintage como la fiesta y de color rosa como Etrala". ¡Desde luego un gran acierto!

Outfit Post

I don't use to post my own outfits on the blog... ( I'm very shy) but today we took these beautiful pictures in Little Venice (London) and thought they were perfect for the blog.

Although it's still quite cold in London, spring is already here and this morning felt like wearing this summery dress. It's the Printed Cotton Dress from Etrala's Spring Summer 2013 collection. It comes with this gorgeous metallic leather detachable collar. I wore it with an off-white leather jacket, blue tights and chunky heel sandals. For the cold weather, I added this white-and-blue star-printed scarf from last summer. Also, I love this retro-styled sunnies, they are my favorites!! What do you think? Do you like the outfit? 

No suelo poner posts en el blog de mis propios looks porque me da un poco vergüenza... (en el fondo soy tímida para estas cosas) pero hoy hemos hecho estas fotos tan bonitas en Little Venice (Londres) y he pensado que eran perfectas para el blog! :-) 

Aunque aún hace fresquito aquí, ya es primavera y hoy me he levantado con ganas de ponerme algo más veraniego (qué hartura de invierno) y me he puesto el vestido de algodón estampado de Etrala de esta colección, Primavera Verano 2013, que viene con el cuello de piel metalizada en azul, y queda muy mono :-) Como el tiempo no está para ir "en vestido", me lo he puesto con chaqueta de piel en blanco roto, medias azules y sandalias de tacón gordo. Para el frío, he añadido este foulard azul y blanco con estampado de estrellas del verano pasado. Y para terminar, con mis gafas de sol favoritas que tienen un estilo retro que me encanta! ¿Qué os parece el look? ¿Os ha gustado?

Easter in London

Hey guys!

How are you doing? What are you doing this Easter?We decided to stay in London this holidays and had really good plans!!!

Hola Chicos! ¿Cómo estáis? ¿Cómo habéis pasado la Semana Santa? Nosotros decidimos quedarnos en Londres y la verdad es que hemos organizado muy buenos planes!! 

On Friday, we went for dinner to one of our favourites polynesian restaurants: Trader Vic's!! We already knew the one in Marbella (Spain) and now we have discovered that there's actually one in London!!! This one is located inside the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane (Mayfair). 

El viernes fuimos a cenar a uno de nuestros restaurantes favoritos, es polinesio y se llama Trader Vic's. Nosotros ya conocíamos el de Marbella (Puerto Banús) que ya no existe (hay uno parecido en su lugar llamado 'Polynesian') y hemos descubierto ahora que también lo hay en Londres, dentro del hotel Hilton de Park Lane en Mayfair.

After the wonderful dinner, we went to have a drink to one of the coolest places in London:  NOVIKOV in Mayfair, wich is not only a "double restaurant" (asian and italian) but also a fabulous lounge / bar. The decoration and the music were amazing!! but due to the darkness I couldn't take my own photos (only the orchids and candles one for instagram). 

Después de la maravillosa cena, nos fuimos a tomar una copa a uno de los locales de moda de la capital británica, NOVICOV, que tiene dos restaurantes (asiático e italiano) y además un bar de copas / disco en el sótano. La decoración y la música eran increíbles!! pero era tan oscuro que no pude hacer mis propias fotos, sólo la de las orquídeas y velas en agua para Instagram.

On Saturday, we went to visit one of the exhibitions that is currently (until May) at the Tate Modern "Lichtenstein: a retrospective" and we really enjoyed it as it's a great gathering of his best art pieces... there are 13 rooms!! 

El sábado, fuimos a visitar la exposición que hay actualmente en la Tate Modern (hasta Mayo): "Lichtenstein: a retrospective", y la verdad es que nos encantó!! Nosotros somos somos grandes fans de la obra de Lichtenstein y nos inspiramos bastante en su trabajo. Pero además la exposición es muy buena porque hay muchísimas piezas repartidas en nada menos que... 13 salas!!!

And finally on Sunday (today), we have been to one of the trendiest 'brunch' restaurants in Soho: The Breakfast Club. It's always very busy, you have to queue, but it worth it!  Here you can have ALL DAY BREAKFAST OR BRUNCH, from the massive "all american breakfast" to the traditional "benedict eggs".  The decoration is quite peculiar, in between nice and tacky, but the result is absolutely cool! 

Y por último el domingo (hoy) hemos ido a tomar el 'brunch' a uno de los sitios de moda del Soho, The Breakfast Club. Está siempre lleno, hay que hacer cola pero merece la pena! Aquí puedes desayunar todo el día, desde el completísimo "all american breakfast" (bacon, salchichas, patatas fritas, huevos y tortitas) hasta los típicos en todo Londres "huevos benedictinos". La decoración es muy peculiar, como diría Woody Allen "está entre lo sublime y lo cutre". Pero el resultado queda muy 'cool' jeje.
